As well as the hundreds of hours of Christian teaching, YWAM-Carlisle has fully qualified instructors in the internationally recognised personality tools of DISC and Myers-Briggs to equip students practically in this area. Respected training used by the business world to delevop the potential of their staff, knowing your result on these will enhance students' CVs. These tools are complimented by motivational and spiritual gifting tests to help you fully understand your intrinsic abilties and the way God wants to use them in your walk with him and will be benficial in your interpersonal relationships in the future: in work, in friendships, in family, in marriage.
There will be great books to read, Bible studies, and teachers from within YWAM, local churches and other organisations.
Your Experience
Learning and practice are intermixed.
The DTS is a great place to experience and try out new things, from
coaching to teaching ... from leadership to worship ... from drama to
evangelism, the small size of our team means that you will get a chance
to get involved and maybe discover gifts and callings you never knew
existed.
Your Future
Ideal place to seek God's calling and how you are to work with Him.
You can 'have a go' and the leaders will be on hand to help and assist
you. You can try and find out what the bigger picture is for your life
... whether God is calling you to missions full-time ... how you can
have a radical and real faith ... and how to make an impact where you
are now whatever God is calling you to do in life.
